Client and Family Advocacy (For NDIS Participants Only)
To ensure the rights and interests of participants and their families, at Js Choice – Care and Support, we provide client and family advocacy services. We represent and address their needs so that they can traverse NDIS supports, access them, and overcome challenges better.
In the client and family advocacy, we include:
- Guidance and Information: We offer guidance to participants and their families regarding NDIS and the rights that they have. We also offer information regarding the supports that they will get in each service.
- Individual Advocacy: We help clients with specific problems that include accessing NDIS, appealing and resolving disputes with service providers.
- Systemic Advocacy: We work with participants to improve the NDIS system. We identify problems and address them systematically for the benefit of our clients.
- Support During Meetings: We assist participants and families in planning NDIS and opting for reviews and other appointments. We make sure that they are heard and their requirements are properly represented.
- Capacity Building: We assist participants and their families in navigating the NDIS. At the same time, we help them with self-advocacy so that they can live their life independently.
- Representation: We work on behalf of participants and their families to negotiate and discuss their needs with NDIS service providers and representatives.
- Resolve Complaints: We help participants and their families in lodging complaints and seeking a resolution of the same regarding the issues that they are experiencing.
